Home / Promoting Music Education

Welcome to the ISME music advocacy resource centre. This is currently being constructed but in the meantime here are some places for music education advocacy resources.

The NAMM Foundation: celebrating and promoting the intrinsic value of music education.  Scroll down on their home page for a list of programs that the NAMM Foundation runs to advance active participation in music making across the lifespan.

NAfME: based in the US and designed to support US-based music educators, NAfME has a wealth of resources available for non members and those outside the US.

Parsons Music Advocacy Awards, are brought to you by ISME and Parsons Music, Hong Kong.  These awards were constituted in 2022-23 and were designed to provide funding for new and existing music advocacy programs across the world. Parsons sponsors these awards to the sum of $50,000 shared by 10 recipients.  It is envisaged that these awards will be distributed biennially.

You can read more about the music Advocacy Committee here.
