Dr. Suzanne. L Burton is Associate Dean for the Arts and Professor of Music Education at the University of Delaware. Her research interests include music development of young children, integration of technology in early childhood music, as well as teacher preparation and professional learning. Dr. Burton is on the editorial board of the International Journal of Music in Early Childhood. She is widely published in professional journals, and is co-editor and contributor to Learning from Young Children: Research in Early Childhood Music, Creative Music Making at Your Fingertips! A Mobile Technology Guide for Music Educators, and the Engaging Musical Practices Sourcebooks for Elementary General Music, Middle School General Music, and Instrumental Music. Dr. Burton is co-author of Ready, Set, Improvise!: The Nuts and Bolts of Music Improvisation.
