Ritesh, a distinguished musician and music educator, hails from the vibrant city of New Delhi, where he has made significant contributions to the music scene. His musical journey began in the 90s when he became an integral part of various Rock and Jazz bands, such as Nirvana, Bluefunk, and Bandish to name a few. Throughout his career, Ritesh had the privilege of studying piano under renowned teachers like Sir Hosie Palamkot, John Raphael, Geeta Uppal, and New York-based concert pianist Mr. Raj Bhimani. He further honed his skills through masterclasses with internationally acclaimed pianists such as Marialena Fernandes, Paul Stewart, and Boris Berman to name a few. Ritesh's dedication to music led him to earn a Diploma in Piano Performance and Grade 8 in music theory from multiple UK regulated boards. His passion for Jazz earned him a scholarship from Berklee College of Music in 2000, where some of his students now currently study. With three decades of performance experience and 23 years of teaching, Ritesh cherishes the invaluable lessons he has learned from both his students and teachers.
Ritesh's musical journey is adorned with over 500 concert appearances, where he showcased his talent as a keyboard player, accompanist, solo pianist, and session musician with leading artists along with Rock and Jazz bands. His exceptional skills earned him opportunities like a solo piano recital at the German Embassy in New Delhi and performances with the Ao Church Choir for the President of India at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in 2013. He has held many key positions in India including the Regional Manager (North India) (2009-2013) for ABRSM, Academic Consultant for Trinity College London (2013 - 2018), Country Manager and Director for RSL Awards (2018-2024). Currently, Ritesh is focused on developing a music curriculum for public schools in India in collaboration with Charanga (UK based digital platform for general music education in school across 64 countries) under the leadership of Dr. Natalie Sarrazin. Natalie has authored numerous books on music education, holds a Phd in Ethnomusicology and is a professor of Music Education at the College of Brockport (New York) for past 25 years. Apart from being the founder & Director for Bridge Music Academy, Ritesh currently serves as the Brand Ambassador for ROLAND and is the founder & Director for the 'Bridge to Music' General Curriculum project in India.
