Rainamei Luna is a Ph.D. candidate in Music Education at Pennsylvania State University with a focus on program development and special education. A graduate from the Eastman School of Music with a B.M. in Music Education, she also holds an M.A. in Music and Music Education from Teachers’ College, Columbia University. Prior to her doctoral pursuits, Rainamei taught K-6 music and choir and managed a private piano studio. Her present research is dedicated to centering the marginalized voices of BIPOC students and neurodivergent learners. Other research projects include intergenerational music education and interdisciplinary curricular development.
