Chi Lui Flora Wong is a musician and researcher with a background as a performer, educator, and creative producer. She has a passion for storytelling through music and the exploration of culture and identity through the arts. Based in Magand-jin/Brisbane, Australia, she has worked as an artist and arts worker in a variety of contexts, from interdisciplinary creative work and instrumental music teaching to tour coordination and the artistic direction of events and festivals. Her current research as a PhD Candidate as part of the Creative Change Project at the Creative Arts Research Institute, Griffith University (Australia) examines the role of community music in fostering social equity in regional Australia through artistic and ethnographic research approaches. She is an Adjunct Associate Lecturer at the University of Queensland School of Music and a Co-Director of Dots+Loops, a small arts organisation delivering contemporary music events, festivals, and education programs.
