Alejandra is an Oboe Professor / Researcher at the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (Mendoza, Argentina), where she also served as Dean of Music Careers. Author of a book for oboe beginners “Oboe para descubrir” (Ediunc, 2013), her research topics are instrumental teaching in extended learning environments, music cognition related to performance practice and music performance graduates’ placement. She has presented research papers in Argentina, Brasil, Ecuador, Mexico, Italy, UK, and published articles in The Double Reed Journal and other specialized magazines. Her home is in Mendoza, where she is a member of the Orquesta Filarmónica Provincial as Oboe – English Horn player, miscellaneous chamber music groups and the Sala Ana Frank Theater Group. Along with the Antares Woodwind Quintet, she received an NEA grant to develop a teaching - performing project for North America's rural communities, in the 90's. Alejandra was a recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship and holds a Master of Music Degree from the University of Cincinnati (Ohio, USA)
