PASMAE 2025 Conference Theme

The conference will focus on advancing musical arts education across the region, emphasizing the integration of indigenous knowledge systems, innovative practices, and policy development in music education.

Call for Submissions

We welcome submissions in the following formats:

• Academic Papers
• Workshops
• Performances
• Poster Presentations
• Panel Discussions'

Types of Submissions

1. Paper Presentations

Submit a concise abstract summarizing your research, including objectives, methodology, key findings, and significance (maximum 300 words). You may work on a full paper for publication after the conference.

2. Panel Proposals

• A general description of the panel topic (up to 500 words).
• Titles and abstracts (around 300 words each) for each panelist's presentation.
• Names and affiliations of all panelists.

3. Arts Panels

• A description of the artistic project or performance (up to 500 words), highlighting its relevance to the conference theme.
• Supporting media (e.g., images, video links, audio samples).
• Names and roles of contributors.

 Evaluation Criteria

Submissions will be evaluated on:

1. Relevance to the conference theme.

2. Clarity of objectives and methodology.

3. Originality and contribution to the field of musical arts education.

4. Feasibility within the conference timeframe.

Guidelines for Submissions

All submissions should align with the conference theme and can include theoretical, practical, or case-study approaches. 

Please ensure submissions include:

1. Title of the presentation

2. Abstract (300–500 words)

3. Name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s)

Important Dates/Deadlines

• Submission Deadline: 28 February 2025
• Notification of Acceptance: 15 March 2025
• Early Bird Registration Deadline: 30 April 2025
• Regular Registration Deadline: May 15, 2025
• Late Registration Deadline: June 15, 2025, at 11:59 PM EAT

Registration and Fees

• Regular Participants: USD 200
• Students: USD 100
• Accompanying Persons: USD 130

Note for Students

Students must provide a copy of their student ID or a certification of student status from their university or school. This should be emailed to the conference office at benkigozi@rocketmail.com

What the Registration Fee Covers

• Access to all conference sessions, including the opening and closing ceremonies.
• Attendance at concerts on three evenings following conference sessions.
• Conference materials and name tags.

Accompanying Persons

• The accompanying persons' fee includes a half-day tour to one of the organized excursions.
• Accompanying persons may only attend in association with a registered delegate.

Tours and Excursions

Tours will be available for booking once the preliminary scientific program is published. All registered delegates will receive a notification with a link to book their tours.

 Accommodation and Travel

A list of recommended accommodations and travel tips will be provided to help participants plan their visit to Kampala.
