Commission seminar institutions
Capital Normal University (CNU), College of Music
CNU's College of Music was established in 1964 and was originally as the Music Department of Beijing Education Institute. After more than 40 years development, the previous Music Department has become a music college with seven departments: Department of Music Education, Department of Composition, Department of Music Performances, Department of Music Science & Technology and Department of Dancing. The college started offering master programs in music majors in 1986. The doctoral programs were launched in 2004, and the college became one of the first higher education institutions in the China to award a doctorate in music major. The College of Music pays much intention to the international academic exchanges. Up to now, it has built close relationships with many foreign music institutions.

Beijing Normal University (BNU)
Beijing Normal University was the earliest established teacher's university of China, which grew out of the Faculty of Education of the Metropolitan University founded in 1902. It was named Beijing University in 1923. In the last one hundred years, BNU has cultivated more than 200,000 talented teachers. Currently there are 27 schools and 12 research institutes in BNU. It has taken an active part in international academic exchanges and cooperation with more than 100 foreign universities.

Shanghai Conservatory of Music (SCM)
As the first conservatory of music in China, Shanghai Conservatory of Music, originally named "National Conservatory of Music", was founded on November 27, 1927 by the celebrated educator Cai Yuanpei and Dr. Xiao Youmei. In the last 80 years, SCM has cultivated hundreds of excellent musicians. For its great achievements, the Conservatory has been recognized by the whole world as "the cradle of contemporary Chinese musicians." Currently, SCM has 20 baccalaureate programs, four master programs and two doctoral programs. All programs recruit international students.

Shenyang Conservatory of Music (ShenCM)
Shenyang Conservatory of Music is one of the leading conservatories of China, which was founded in 1938 as Luxun Academy of Arts in Yan'an. In 1958, the school was moved Shenyang and renamed as Shenyang Conservatory of Music. Nowadays the ShenCM has become a large music college with four campuses (Major Campus, Chanqing Campus, Taoxian Campus and Dalian Campus). The ShenCM consists 12 departments: Composition, Musicology, Vocal, Chinese vocal, Winds & Strings, Chinese Instruments, Keyboards, Music Education, Popular Music, Electone, Instruments craft and Dance Department. The conservatory has cultivated more than 8,000 bachelor and master graduates.

North-East Normal University (NENU), School of Music
The Music School of NENU was originally from the Music Department of the university, which was founded in 1946. After growing as a conservatory of music in 2002, its facilities and environment got much improved. The two campuses, main campus and Jingyue campus all have computer music lab, multimedia class, electric piano lab, dancing hall and concert hall. Currently there are six departments with bachelor and master programs, and two research institutes in NENU Music School.

China Central Radio & TV University in Hangzhou (CCRTU)
The China Central Radio & TV University is an opened university that features with widely using broadcast, TV and the Internet for distance education. CCRTU has six main colleges and 44 provincial colleges with more than 580 academic programs. Up to now, the CCRTU has more than 160,000 alumni. The university is a group member of Asian Association of Opened University (AAOU) and International Council for Distance Education (ICDE), and has created a friendly cooperation with many foreign distance education institutions.

Henan University (HU), College of Arts
Before joining to Henan University in 1996, the College of Arts of HU was a separate institution called Henan Arts College, the eldest art college of Henan Province, which was founded in 1958. The combination has given the Art College more opportunities for development. Currently HU's Arts College has 10 departments and 6 research institutes. There are 195 full time faculty members 10 undergraduate programs, four graduate programs in this college. Up to now, the college owns more than ten thousand alumni, and they are playing important roles of arts, culture, education and research fields of our province.
